I’m a whole black woman and I feel like she’s my granny!! I used to eat out often so I decided to save some money by cooking at home more. Marshall you can stand tall and be thankful for your mother. She reminds me of my grandmother who past away in 2004. When they asked if we wanted them to do CPR if she was to stop breathing I said no. I knew where my grandmother was going and I didn't want her body going through all of the stress of it. She had gone through a rough surgery and I knew she was ready. As we were leaving the church to go to the grave site a little boy riding his bicycle stopped as the hearse drove by and saluted it. This little boy never knew my grandmother. But his actions and respect has never left my heart and mind. I wish there was a way I could meet him one day so I could tell him what his actions meant to me and tell him about the woman who was being taken to her resting place. So I'm passing it on and even though you can't see it I saluted your mother.

Mamaw always said to me Raise your children up in the path they should go. I know your heart is breaking as is the million of others that lived her. But SONNY BOY even though her earthly body isn't here anymore her spirit is. She has been training you Marshall to carry on her work. And we all love you as well.
