I think shouting out other webcomics is a really great idea. And putting them at the end of the video is a good idea too just so people could go check out those comics. That's something I've been doing myself. If I do crossover art with my webcomic characters, I would just go, "Hey, this is from this comic; go check it out, and show them support." Recommending comics to people while showing your own is a good way to boost your comic and theirs

Way way back in like 2016, I was reading Always Human by Ari North (@walkingnorth) and she has been doing that in her comics. I took inspiration from her for that, and have been including cameos with other artist friends in my work :3

CORRECTION: While I'd love to join in with you on bagging on TSA, unless they opened the bag to inspect the contents, it wasn't TSA who broke your screen. Each airline hires (or contracts) their own ramp agents to marshal plane into and out of the stands, load and unload the planes, clean the planes, etc. It was your airline's trained gorillas who likely played basketball with your bags that broke it. (I used to work air freight in the 90's and know all about the "Travails of Belly Freight". Also, the salesmen told me some of the horror stories that happen inside aircraft. Mostly personal violations under the color of hazing. I thank my lucky stars I NEVER had to crawl into the belly of an aircraft.) You might be able to get compensation from the airline, depending on who it is and how long ago the damage occurred. But, if the song "United Breaks Guitars" is anything to go by, don't hold your breath.

It was such a pleasure to finally get to meet not just you in person for the first time, but also meeting some of the other peeps as well. And also just having myself a solo vacation to do some of the stuff I love doing. I definitely had an amazing time at MomoCon 2024! Now, here are some parts from throughout the video that stick out to me most. 2:00 I didn't even notice the chance oddly enough. But, now that you mentioned it, I can remember that more fondly. 11:53 YEAH! Forget the convention! We're going to the Aquarium! 12:31 I heard through the grapevine that they are apparently bringing Rori into the exhibit, which is kinda weird but I am not going to question it. 13:35 Yeah, that was very weird and although it didn't impact me too much since I got the opportunity to look through both very efficiently, I can easily see this as a major problem for other people. 15:14 Well, I guess you can say they did exactly what was wanted of them, right? 15:51 You're welcome! 17:39 I remember how socially anxious I had gotten when I first visited your table and how when I asked "Are Jay and Zoe here yet?", you just said no and called them "sleepy bitches" and I still feel very amused by that. 18:12 At that point, I completely overcame my social anxiety and proceeded to make that one comment about scurvy in front of all of those people. I guess you can say that considering my cosplay, I WAS acting very much in character. 18:27 I will definitely say that I didn't have "appearing in one of Star's videos, as in, my IRL self" on my 2024 Bingo Card, but here we are! To be fair, I didn't have "going to MomoCon in the first place" on there either but I found a way to make it work. 18:53 Very strong thank you for that! Hee hee! 19:30 As an introvert who knows that you were also a bit of an introvert, I can imagine that it was hard to manage in so many different ways. 22:33 This is FORESHADOWING!!! 27:41 Holy carp! (pun intended) It's the Jinx-fish! 27:59 BUCKET

as someone who loves when people delve into the specifics of convention sales (since u want to work at an artist alley both someday), i REALLY appreciate the transparency when it comes to the specifics of management and numbers!!

I find it funny that no matter how you say it, con/convention artist doesn’t sound right. Con artist sounds like they’re trying to rob you, and convention artist sounds like ‘conventional artist,’ which they aren’t really. (Amazing video btw!! :D)

I went to MomoCon for the first time this year on Saturday only after watching your other video when you talked about going. After meeting up with some friends, we all had a great time just walking around and seeing the full venue. I didn’t see your section in Artist Alley because of how huge this area was. Hopefully, I can find you at a different anime con sometime next year. 👋🏽🙌🏽

These videos about your experience at cons and the breakdown of your profits truly are helpful. I've been trying to figure out the best things to include in my own booth, and knowing what you sell, where you're situated, and how much you make really helps me gain a rough idea of what I should aim for. I would love to see a video of you showing off your booth setup and going through the logic behind where things are placed and how your prices are advertised.

10:47 Hey Star! It was awesome meeting you at Momocon especially at Day Zero. Sorry for the immediate ending that bet. The reason why we ended up behind the scenes was all thanks to Google Maps. Something about being under the convention's roof caused the routing system to take us up and around the building and I know my family wasn't the only ones who had this trouble. I love the book I bought and I hope to one day make my own personal comic eventually (if college doesn't kick my butt). I had an awesome time at Momocon as well and I hope to return there soon. (Also sorry for the late comment, I was really busy last month and I didn't have time to watch this video until now)
