Momodora: Moonlit Farewell - 13 - Defeating Selin (main story end)

I wonder how it was decided the maximum percentage would be 111%. Maybe they went with 1% per item so every item would move the counter, despite the consequences? Or it could be like Hollow Knight where more was added in updates after 100% was already possible and they didn't want to lower existing completion or make things weird with achievements?
Could've been a fun fact for the dev room.
