I noticed that 3 or 2 years ago when Momo(Momoko)had a solo, audience would cry out-MOMOKO!! but now that i watch her,i hear-MOMOCHI!! (the name she calls herself, adding -chi at the end of "Momo" (members call her Momo) ) i always like to say-Momochi!! ^^

Thank you. Done & done. The whole aidoru thing sounds like a Japanese equivalent of the Boy Band thing on this side of the water. They project an undeniable cuteness and appeal. I have the sad suspicion (I hope I’m wrong) that the happy peppy façade hides a cutthroat-level competition within the industry; again, kinda like on this side of the water.

It's happened but it's not as common as it is here and usually more heartbreaking (a famous case is 1980s singer Okada Yukiko whose career ended with her mysteriously committing suicide in her apartment) but for the most part the majority (95%?) of these girls have clean records in the public eye and usually go back to a regular life or leave the music industry before they turn 25

true fans of H!P never think that there are no women at the concert!!! '.' and if someone(i saw many of the comments) said that tell this(what i told you)

Artists like Momoko are called "idol" (japanese: アイドル aidoru ) and their image is very important to them, so they don't do these things (but there are exceptions). This is a very interesting theme, if you wanna know more about it, search about "idol" in japanese culture ^^ Thanks for your comment!

lol I agree. I often hear female shouts during concerts so I know they exist, but it's hard to ever spot them in the audience. Like you say it's usually people who aren't H!P fans who think there are only male fans because they see mostly men in one live video and just assume all their fans are men.

Do my eyes deceive me, or are there clearly two FEMALE fans in the front of the audience at 1:46? One is in a green shirt and the other in a black shirt? I should show this to everyone that thinks H!P only has older male fans :)

I googled the young lady; very sad. I wonder if it’s just more than pushy parents and promoters. The life of a child star is no rose garden. I think of examples I read about, like Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland, who were forced into a lifestyle mold & micromanaged by parents, publicists, & studio exec’s. They paid a heavy toll in terms of personal unhappiness.

Can't understand a word; but she's as cute as a button. Do J pop singers ever self-destruct like other girl rockers? Like Amy Winehouse? or Lindsay Lohan? That would be utterly heartbreaking.

I love Momoko and think she's a great singer in Buono, but I don't think this song really suits her voice. She should try Ookina ai de motenashite or something else if she wants to try covering a C-ute song. Sometimes I think she would be so good as a C-ute member lol
