Monastery of Agia Paraskevi
The Monastery of Agia Paraskevi is located in Tsiouka, at an altitude of 1270 meters, between the villages of Neraidochori and Pyrra. It was built in 1792 by the charioteer Gousios Hatzipetros, on the ruins of the oldest church of the Transfiguration of Sotiros. Its rhythm is a basilica with a dome. In its heyday, the monastery had a rich library, estates and flocks, while it housed the relics of Saint Modestos of Jerusalem. During the Second World War it was used as a hiding place for the rebels and suffered serious damage.

Το Μοναστήρι της Αγίας Παρασκευής βρίσκεται στη θέση Τσιούκα, σε υψόμετρο 1270 μέτρων, ανάμεσα στα χωριά Νεραϊδοχώρι και Πύρρα. Χτίστηκε το 1792 από τον αρματολό Γούσιο Χατζηπέτρο, στα ερείπια του παλιότερου ναού της Μεταμόρφωσης του Σωτήρος. Ο ρυθμός του είναι βασιλική με τρούλο. Στην περίοδο της ακμής του το μοναστήρι διέθετε πλούσια βιβλιοθήκη, κτήματα και κοπάδια ενώ, φιλοξενούσε τα λείψανα του Αγίου Μόδεστου της Ιερουσαλήμ. Κατά τη διάρκεια του Δευτέρου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως κρησφύγετο των ανταρτών και υπέστη σοβαρές ζημιές.
