Yep-I find myself saying that multiple times a day. (Mostly due to the fact that I can't stop watching Karamel vids-not sure if it's cathartic or borderline nutty, but ones like this are just too good to not put on repeat!) I am really nervous about the possibility of the show going in a Kara/Brainy direction. I would have really enjoyed pursuing that relationship if Karamel had never been, but now it would just make me heartsick. I can't help but think of Mon El in the future-out doing the hero thing and then coming home to empty rooms... To then have one of the very ones Mon El returned to the future to protect (also taking into account Mon El and Brainy working together and being close friends) explore human emotions and relationships with the love of Mon El's life-that wouldn't make sense to me, and plus it would feel so wrong. Hopefully that is not in the works. Borderline nutty, if you ask me. Why do we continue to torture ourselves this way? I can respect your first three hashtags, but not the fourth. Why did they end it that way? Oh, simple. According to the producers, it's because they're *star-crossed* . Just in case you couldn't detect the sarcasm in my virtual voice, I don't accept that explanation whatsoever. "Star-crossed" is a nice trope if you're in the mood for a good tear-jerker. That is NOT what I signed up for when I started watching Supergirl. I want light & joy!!! There is NO way a couple THAT much in love with each other would allow themselves to be star-crossed for long. They keep finding & rescuing each other. It's just ridiculous, what they did to Mon-El & Karamel at the end of S. 3. I'm marching right over to Twitter & telling 'em so. Again.

Preach! The only way for me to be remotely okay with that finale is to imagine several things happened off-screen. First-that Imra and Kara had a conversation in which Imra told Kara some relevant information about the new timeline that they had all created, as well as giving her a transparent understanding of the original timeline, prior to the Legion's return, which only she, Mon El and Brainy now knew about (what with everyone else in the future existing in the altered timeline.) In my imaginary scenario the original timeline followed the 2 statements they revealed in the show-that Supergirl survived all of Reign's attacks, and the Reign eventually left Earth. But, add to that something along the lines of-the combined might of the world killers and the dark Kryptonians (who made it to Earth somewhere along the line) threatens to leave Earth devastated, so Kara and the other heroes of Earth, along with Lena, Winn and the other brilliant minds-find a habitable planet and evacuate. "New Krypton" ends up badly-there is infighting amongst the leadership, constant struggles for power-etc., and after some time they leave Earth completely. Earth's people have made a home and a life for themselves on the new planet, so many decide to stay, but some choose to return and repopulate Earth. Supergirl continues to be the protector of Earth for many years. One day she and J'onn head on a mission to Mars but disappear somewhere along the way, and at the time of Mon El's arrival in the 31st century-have not been heard from again. That is why, even with years of trying-Mon El is never able to locate her or contact her, and-thinking that he will never see her again-mourns her as lost. Then, when faced with the mounting dangers Earth faces and the chance to save many lives through the political alliance his marriage to Imra would create-he is honor-bound to protect and serve Earth in that way. He still feels an undying, unalterable love for Kara-almost as if he is her widower and must continue living, but his love for her always remains in his heart, and he keeps her as a part of everything he does-she is there in his care for the peoples of Earth and beyond. Then, along with revealing the nature of how the marriage alliance occurred in the original timeline, Imra would also tell Kara of how it no longer existed in the new timeline. (Shhh-we will just pretend that episode 18 did not make it sound like the alliance still went down that way.) Instead-due to the elimination of the Blight many of the political tensions did not happen. Mon El and she were simply friends and partners in the Legion, protecting and serving Earth. This conversation between Kara and Imra helps them both to gain perspective on what moving ahead may look like, and allows them to no longer feel that they are all stuck in an impossible moral quandary. Second, when Mon El approaches Kara on the balcony she fully intends to share her feelings with him, and how-in the timeline in which he sacrificed his life-she knew she could not live in a world without him. The subsequent masking of emotion when he reveals he must leave is just them being stoic in an effort to minimize the pain for one another. Afterwards she and Space Dad talk, hug and cry, as he has an understanding both of that brief alternate timeline, and because of his insight into the feelings she and Mon El have for each other. In the later conversation with Alex you feel that Kara has that characteristic hope and optimism. (Of course, my version of "we're gonna be okay" includes a Karamel reunion sooner or later-preferably sooner!)

I love Mon-El and his development, i love season 3 because of him and the rest of the legion and i dont understand why we dont got them to see in the crisis on infinite earth crossover and the well deserved karamel ending And I wish we get perhaps someday a Legion of Superheroes Serie with Mon-El, Winn, Imra, Brainy, like first season about Mon-EL landing there and the founding of the Legion and at season two and later with Winn after their return from the 21st century.....
