economic crisises only happen in common men and women homes. The rich never experience downturn. Actually they create the downfalls, in order to concentrate more power in their hands. When you here name Mergers and Acquisitions, it means that someone was kicked out of the market and less players will remain in that industry. Debt based monetary system as we have today, is a Feudal system, where very very few tycoons will control all the property in the world, at some point

The vast majority of people, certainly over thirty care far more about themselves and what they want than what this brand or that is doing for the Planet. I will always choose something because it is exceptionally beautiful and / or well made, not because of what good works beyond the product that brand may be associated with. Truly, people only really care about themselves.

why would luxury brands be recession proof? whether you're well off financially or not, unnecessary lavish buying is unnecessary lavish buying.

Loss of the middle class has spawned this down turn and it can be reversed with more input on elevating the targets of this market with futuristic designer goods focused on recycling and reaching all socioeconomic types creating brand levels with impact on need and fashion...Losing two classes means revising in targeting and marketing to fit the current market covering personal needs on the higher level. And incorporating all levels making the making of three types and costs opening up the market to all. This is cost effective and allows high end goods reachable with target stores and mass production of the same brands open to all, yes they will not be the same yet level up for fashions future..
