Quick correction - your new Pixel Remaster DOES have different cover art. It has that tab that says “anniversary edition” on it. I also think the ratings are bigger. The OG esrb release and Asian English are superior.

Max, the reason you need to buy the games still sealed is because used ones may have been dumped. You will be flagged by Nintendo and not allowed to play them. Possibly banning your account and or banning your Switch.

I don't mind paying a premium for some older games. Assuming a PS1 game at MSRP is $60 plus tax, and the condition is kept well, paying $90 for a PS1 game is fine with me (that's not even counting inflation); that's like having someone just hold a game for me, keep it mint, for $1 a year. That's a service I'll pay.
