Faun at the Feuertanz Festival.
Drinnen im Saal eine Geige sang,
sie sang von der Liebe, so wild, so lind.
Draußen der Wind durch die Zweige sang:
"Was willst du denn, Menschenkind?"
"Schon mancher starb an Reu."
Der letzte Geigenton verklang,
die Fenster wurden bleich und blind.
Aber noch lange sang und sang
im dunklen Wald der Wind.

This was the best, or as I say, the ‘classic’ Faun line-up. But I won’t disown the new line-up after hearing Laura Fella and Anaya do an excellent job last month performing Pearl live. I was convinced!

Ali Danish, it is an Instrument like the German ,,Geige" or ,,Viola", but with a mechanic extension. The Name is ,,Leier" in Gemany. The other ,,Viola" is a ,,Hurdy Gurdy", another extension, named ,,Drehleier" in Germany. Both are produced until today in Europe. You pay 1500 or 7000$ for a good Instrument. Excuse my bad English, please. OK? :)

It's a matter of what you like more. Their music style has changed a lot, Von den Elben was the complete change. I personally like both a lot. There are amazing songs from their begginings, for example I would say Renaissence is their best album, but some songs as Wenn wird uns widersehen or Lagneshatten are so beautiful too, although it is a complete different style. As I said, early Faun is better if you only like or if you like more folk music at its whole, but I personally like both. Actually I knew them for Federkleid so it took me a while to get used to their older songs. :)

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Faun's early stuff was phenomenal; very unique, raw, and earthy. Loved their Licht and Renaissance albums. Their stuff nowadays, while still good, has been noticeably given the "pop treatment".

Yeah, you're right, it sounds a little bit with valahian folk music because the celts also established in Carpathian area in III rd century BC, but they have been defeated when Dacia was formed (I century BC), ocupy they're territories. Actually, some says that celts came in Transylvania in IV th century BC, colonizing the east of Carpathian, and at the death of Lysimachus, arround 281 BC they have extended even more in the middle of Carpathian area. Of course, they influenced linguistic development and the culture of thracians, the local population in that area, so, the vlahian folk culture is influenced by celtic folk culture. :D
