That Mona Lisa' debut album '11-20-79 was straight fire!! I think she missed that window of opportunity. She deserved so much more shine...
@MrMoorEnt2 жыл бұрын
It wasn't that she missed her window. Her management (one of whom's on the phone with her in the video) was a former A&R of Uptown Records (post Diddy) that got a lot of projects shelved. Despite appearances on Soul Train, Teen Summit, All That, and even some Bad Boy Remixes, her management was more concern with exposing her labelmates Dru Hill (no hate to them) than her. 11-20-79 is a fire album, tho. Island Def Jam should've promoted better.exposing

Mona Lisa was beautiful, singing, and banging back in the days way before the Beyoncé's, Rihanna's, and whoever else exist today in today's watered down dying era of R&B. Learn the history!

alberto gonzalez BUT WHYYYYYYY? We used to have it so good in the 90's and early 00's. I must admit though music is kind of making a comeback with this: watch?v=U4WRlkgP1JA

alberto gonzalez I definitely like 90's music more. However I will say that the music has began to improve a bit starting in 2013. They began to get back into that 90's theme. It is improving is what I will say.

This is timeless....this type of music belongs in that 90s era. Don't wanna a lot of artists having the same watered down sound.

Oh snap!!! That's Canibus and Tragedy Khadafi playing Ceelo at 1:53. Tragedy in the vest and Canibus in the tab jacket & shades. I think that's Charles Suitt (Lost Boyz and Canibus manager at the time) in the Magic jersey. He was the dude who shot Renee in the Renee video and dude on the plane with the briefcase in the Music Makes Me High video. I love finding little Easter eggs like this decades later. Fire song, classic Mona Lisa and classic Cheeks verse. Tag ad-libs always make me sad, RIP Freaky Tah.
