Team Sri Lanka’s winning performance at Monash University Malaysia’s Cultural Night AVENOIR 2019.
Monash Cultural Night (MCN) is the biggest event in the University’s calendar and was held on the 4th of May 2019, organized by Monash University International Student Services (MUISS). This year’s theme for the event was “Time”, which was reflected in the countries’ overall performances. Eight countries participated this year, with Sri Lanka bagging the Avenoir’s Choice Award and the People’s Choice Award for their performance.
Team Sri Lanka managed to achieve this with a team 15 people under a time of 10 minutes. The performance takes you through the history of Sri Lanka from the era of kings to the upbeat and modern culture of Colombo today. This was the first combined singing and dancing performance by Team Sri Lanka at MCN, hope you enjoy!
