Something I feel is underrated about Kihyun is how he knows how to switch between different types of voices and when to do so. I think a lot of singers either can’t or don’t know when to switch between having a softer, rougher, smoother, etc. voice, and Kihyun both knows how to and is able to do so. I just feel that’s underrated about him and should be pointed out.

I’m not a monbebe but I’m deeply impressed by Kihyun’s covers! Spellbinding voice and brilliant techniques. What’s even more amazing is that (from what I understand) he is not super fluent in English, and yet he is able sing like a native and does it so comfortably, that takes so much practices not just perfecting the techniques, but knowing where to emphasize the lyrics and notes to create an impact. He didn’t just sing like the original singer here, you could tell he used his own way to convey the message and emotions of the song. He’s definitely one of the best vocalists in his generation. ❤

Why isn’t Kihyun more recognised for his talent? The man is literally carrying the entire industry and knows. Ok, everyone in Monsta X is carrying the entire industry. But Kihyun definitely deserves more praise for his amazing vocals

I think the problem is that Monsta X's music is not suited to bring out the best in kihyun's voice. Don't get me wrong, kihyun shines as the main vocalist but a different brand of music could have helped him shine even more. That's why I'm so happy everytime he sings solo
