monday's pricing is dependent on three factors: products, users, and tiers.
#1: Products. monday.com customers can purchase monday's default work management platform as a standalone solution or with any other monday.com products. Anyone looking for project management features would need to purchase the default plan, plus the monday project plan
#2: Users. monday uses a per user per month model. License costs are based on a bundle of seats that are grouped up to a certain number of users. 3 seats to 200+
#3: Tiers. monday offers different plans with features that keep progressing at every level
To speak to monday's pricing in more detail, here is a comparison of how much each plan in the core work management platform costs and what is included at every level, plus some highlights.
The Free Forever plan is available for up to 2 seats and offers 3 boards, a Kanban view, an activity log for up to one week, and more.
The Basic plan offers few additional features on top of those in the Free Forever plan. Additionally, it offers unlimited boards, unlimited free viewers, and 5 GB of file storage. It also allows for the creation of a dashboard with the data available from only one board, a plan suitable for smaller teams.
The Standard plan offers most of the core work management features. It offers an activity log for up to 6 months, a timeline view, a calendar view, a map view, and 20 GB of storage. It also includes automations and integrations, which are limited to 250 actions/month for each automation and integration. Mostly suitable for small teams.
The Pro plan offers almost all of monday's work management features, including everything in the Standard plan plus time tracking, a formula column to create formulas, a chart view, workload, and 100 GB of file storage. This plan also includes automations and integrations for up to 25,000 actions/month for each automation and integration and offers an activity log for up to 1 year. This plan is mostly opted for by medium and large businesses.
The Enterprise plan offers tailored onboarding and training modules. It includes automation and integrations for up to 250,000 actions for each automation integration, plus a 1,000 GB of storage, activity logs for up to 5 years, and more. Suitable for businesses requiring higher security and flexibility, mainly larger enterprises.
After reviewing monday's pricing, here are some honest impressions and considerations:
#1: monday's Basic plan offers a few additional features on top of its Free Forever plan, but lacks integrations and basic capabilities like calendar and Gantt views, a plan that might work for solo workers and very small teams only.
#2: monday's Standard plan is a good fit for smaller teams that need automation, guest access, and integrations. The Pro plan is where it's at for most businesses that need time tracking and multiple project views.
#3: monday's Enterprise plan is for orgs needing enterprise-grade features like premium integrations with Salesforce or NetSuite, a dedicated customer success manager, and advanced reporting and security mechanisms.
Here are tips about monday's pricing:
#1: Go annual. Save 18% on all plans.
#2: Students save big. monday's student program provides a free account with certain Pro features chosen by the student/educators.
#3: Not a student, but still in education? Discounts are offered on all yearly plans to users from education-related organizations.
#4: Startup discounts.
#5: Discounts are available for eligible nonprofits.
#6: monday has one of the most generous affiliate programs out there.
