@@riebags luckily I've still been able to go to work throughout this whole situation, obviously restrictions had been put in place but nothing crazy. Horse shows have been canceled or rescheduled, so we're just training away until we get to compete again!

You are so right Unorthodox is a powerful show and so, so good! Hard no from me with Pacifica products. I couldn't get past the scents. Haven't tried their makeup though. Hope you have a better week!

Everyone's emotions are all over the place right now. I have become obsessed with showering/bathing for intense emotional healing, just to stay grounded as things are changing so fast. Those Bathing Culture bath products sound lovely. I really need luxury during bath time and woodsy scents are some of my favs. Hang in there - nothing is ever permanent. Hugs, Cheryl

Yes! It is funny you mention that because I have started feeling very attached to cleansing at the end of the day. So renewing. I have also gotten mighty attache dto using the BC at the sink! It is the highlight of the day sometimes because the woodsy smell just feels like a hug!

I really wanted to love Pacifica for being an affordable clean option but agree about the fragrances! I have a couple (maybe only 1 because I think I had to throw the other one out) cream masks that come in a big tube - sleeping masks, nice ingredients, but I only occasionally use it because it's too much fragrance. 😞Hope your week gets better! Unorthodox sounds intriguing! p.s. I do really like the Pacifica Stellar Gaze Lengthening Strengthening mascara!

I know! It is like why?! The formulas on their own are so good. Sans fragrance they could really compete with brands like the Ordinary!

Yes! My fiancé and I watched it and we started to watch a documentary about the Hasidic Jew community. The movie was made so well. And it's eye-opening how the community has so much rules and etc. We enjoyed how they show the dark side of it.

Have you looked at the Beautycounter Lipid Defence Cleansing oil ingredients? They might be similar but I never feel like it has a weird slip to it. I have used several cleansing oils but it really is my favorite oil cleanser. I don't say that because I sell it either. I enjoy wiping it off with a soft clean cloth. My skin has been so dry and I have thought about upping my spray game and trying the Josh Rosebrook. I seem to be sensitive to citrus oils now so I have had to rework my routine. Also, I loved Unorthodox!! Such a good show. I hope this week is better for you. ❤️

Hugs!! Last week was hard, but time keeps moving forward. I was initially kinda disappointed by this months BH reveal, but it’s grown on me, especially after seeing the founders on the BH Instagram. The products do sound really good (love sea buckthorn in the body oil!) and relatively simple. My mind tends to underestimate simple products, but my skin always loves them the most.

I agree. I have to admit with all the hand washing I do with kids that using this as a hand wash has felt luscious. I also have to admit that I love love love the ambiguous scent of forests and earth. Plus I love love love the packaging the ethos behind the brand

Good morning, Marie! I am looking forward to this month's BH discovery but we have to be patient this month. I ordered the Suntegrity SPF after hearing your thoughts but have only used it once so far as I am still using up my current EltaMD and Epionce, both tinted SPF. I like them all, but have to remember to wait 15-20 minutes before applying foundation. I am one of those who puts on a full face of makeup even when just staying home. Hope this week is less emotionally tumultous than last week. I have noticed the same thing about me - I had more tears last week than the week before but I was able to work outside most of yesterday when it was in the 60's. Today will be in the 40's again, so Spring is fighting to arrive here.

The smell is so delightfully forresty that it really helps my mood! You may find the Suntegrity to dense if you use a full face of makeup. I also had the idea of using the Bathing Culture soap as a hand wash - having two toddlers anywhere near a glass bottle is a big no for me! 😄 I’m conflicted about watching Unorthodox. I’m an Orthodox Jew, though not chassidish, but my sister watched and I think they portrayed many aspects of observant life in a very negative light, as well as my cassidish friends who took exception to the portrayal of their community. Ultimately I have to respect that this is one person’s story, and I agree that there are inherent problems in that community. My sister really enjoyed it but I’m afraid I’ll find it to aggravating. Any ways I always love and appreciate your content! You’ve given me some great ideas of what to do with my kids during quarantine. Hope all is well with you!

Hi! I was so excited to read your comment. It was very timely because I went looking up things about Jewish culture after the show ended and found a very well written article by a woman who reflected on how these shows impact people of a similar faith or lifestyle after the fact. For her, it sent many people running to her with questions about how her beliefs were or were not similar to the show. It was a nice moment of reflection because as I delved into reading about the culture I was so fascinated to see how dramatized the show made it all seem. I loved the shots of Berlin and the actress who plays the lead is very captivating but it seems very unfair to a huge community of good people to portray them almost as a cult or etc. I think part of one of the reasons I liked the show was that the lead actress made you feel like there were so many parts of her that were never going to be able to let go of her roots (and many parts of her didn't want too). I completely agree tho that if it feels like it might be triggering then definitely avoid it. There is so much out there stealing our energy right now that we have to conserve it! mUch love from Maui!

Hey! My favourite cleanser, Mukha cleanser from Taila also has Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate BUT believe me, it rinses off completely without that tacky feel! I know the feeling from other cleansers!

@@riebags It has happened to me with the African Botanics Marula cleansing oil.. No matter how much I rinse, the film doesn't seem to go away and I end up using a damp face towel to wipe it off!
