Didn't know until I snorkeled in the Caymans, but I have Shark-dar. No joke. I could feel them before they came into view. When we figured that out we came up with a signal that I could give to alert the group. Was 100% accurate, strangely enough, Lol! They never were aggressive towards us, but we may have had some good karma with them. I say that because one of my Shark-dar alerts had me find a nurse shark caught on the reef by broken fishing line hooked in its mouth and two of us freed it. (we were careful, we both worked with wild animals, exotics, etc in veterinary medicine) It was happy to be free...maybe it told it's friends? Lol!

Yea bill, seals might hide in the shallow channels as you’d mentioned you learned it had been. A bit more difficult to maneuver for sharks & aquatic mammals any larger than where a seal can fit itself with some ability to flop on land. & yeah you’re hitting the nail on the head about the state of American sports & society
