Isn't the main point of Gantt that the timeline is derived from the dependencies and the duration of each task? Do you really have to specify dates for each task, as opposed to having the dates computed for you from the dependencies and durations?

why does the gantt chart show dates years before and after the acutal project?

Quick question: Is there a way to limit the "timeframe" that the Gantt view will show. Right now, if I select weeks, years, or days, I can keep scrolling and it will just go on for infinity (especially the years they reached to Year 3300 and counting...) I was just wondering if we can limit the view to go only as far as we want it to - set a cap by selecting the year that our project goes till so the view only displays till that year (2023 for example) instead of 100s of years out. Is there a way we can do this?

Hey Joyce! Great question! While the indefinite scroll can't currently be disabled or limited within the Gantt view, using the zoom and autofit settings should help keep your project focused on the dates that actually apply. The idea of setting a cap is great feedback though so we're forwarding it to our team for their review! 😊

When the task is delayed, how do you get the revised completion dates? Given that you now know their %accomplishment per month and how many months it took them to get there.

Is it possibile to add recurring activities? for example I need to add a task that lasts one single day, but needs to be repeated every Tuesday for 3 months. What can I do?

Yes, you can definitely set this up with automations! You could set up a custom automation that creates a new item every Tuesday or an automation that resets the date column every week. If you need help configuring this, send us a message at [e-mail]!

hi when I go to Gantt view from the board, it doesn't show the text next to the bars only the bars, how do I make it so the task names show up?

In my Gantt when I move a Task the following task don´t move with it, I need to move them one by one

Hey Sean! Can you let us know which column type you're using to track duration? Are you perhaps using the Hour column? If so, this isn’t compatible with the timeline column at present!

How do you export the full chart? It only gives a snippet of it.

Hey Christine! If you're exporting from the board view and/or widget, all you need to do it select the "export to excel" icon in the top right of the widget, and all data should pull into the export. If this isn't the case for you, please reach out to our support team via [e-mail], in-case this needs to be investigated by our technical team 🙏

At this time the Gantt with will export to Excel, however from there you can save the chart as a PDF!

mine didn't work because i had a date column. once i deleted it then it looked more like the example in this video.
