I used to show this film in my "World Religions" class at a community college. Ironically, as a result of China's annexation of Tibet, its incredibly rich religious tradition has spread over the world. We have yearly visitations by Tibetan monks in our small foothill community and in places like the Bay Area there is a rich Tibetan spiritual community. Far from dying, Tibetan Buddhism is becoming a world religion.

I am currently reading Smith’s book “The Worlds Religions” 50th anniversary edition and it is a very insightful take on Buddhism and the Far East traditions. Highly recommend it.
