I have relatively new overlock Singer serger but recently got older Singer 14U35 model. This machine is quite old and has limited features but works so nice and quiet that I like it so much. What happened with new Singer sergers that are so noisy?

Honestly I find that many older models were better and worked better, too. So I can totally understand you. Ii have no idea what they are doing, but Ihave a feeling that many products are losing their quality

I love how detailed your video is. Thank you! What size thread do you use? I find that the threads I've purchased are too big or too small to fix over the adapter (the plastic thing).

Hi! I got it from an online in Europe. It came threaded but I accidentally pulled the threads out. No biggie, though, I needed to figure out how to do that anyway. I had a lot of practice since I filmed that video and plan to film a follow-up with a demo. If there's anything particular you would like to see, let me know.

What's the difference with coverlock and overlock?

Hi, thanks for watching. Overlock is more for sewing parts together. There's a possibility to do flatlock stitch, that is for edging. Coverlock is more for edging. The coverstitch is what you see on shirts, usually twi rows of straight stitch on the right side, a kinda overlock-like stitch on the inside. It's very general the way I describe it but that is basically it.

at first after threading I used a fabric to test it, was fine then the threads didn’t twist

Hi, Ophelia, I no longer use soap nuts, I stopped dying my hair and that made the biggest difference. Now my hair is below waist. It's grown so much!
