MONDO Sixth Scale Batman the Animated Series Action Figure Review

Today's in-depth review will be about the MONDO Batman the Animated Series Sixth Scale action figure. Although this pricey Batman adult collectible looks very much like the cell shaded Batman cartoon there still were some things about this Batman that I felt could very easily leave the consumer feeling as though they may have payed a little too much for this. Is the value equal to the price point with this one? You decide.

Always loved the t-shaped line launcher: given Bruce's hatred of firearms, the grapnel gun just seems _wrong_ .

Man I think the price isn’t justified by how limited the articulation is. Now I know the animated style doesn’t lend itself to super poseability but based on the promo images I thought this would’ve been the super articulated animated Batman that DCC never gave us. Oh well I also don’t think the cell shading paint application really works; some of the shadows they painted look odd when in different angles, I agree that they should’ve just kept with the flat matte color instead of doing the two tone thing

For him shooting the graple, why not just create a bigger space perhaps on a larger table or on the floor with a special background. You do such a marvelous job on your reviews. Perhaps if you do another batman mondo you can add the animated batmobile and the bat signal that would be awesomely clever

nemass26 Funny Thing is that I did buy a really big backdrop for this. I usually have a large roll of paper as my base and the sub in coloured cardstock as needed. I could have filmed him in front of the yellow but wanted to use Orange and by the time I realized it was sooooo long it was too late. I’d already filmed half the video. I should have done that part better. I agree though, the Batmobile for a shot or two would have been fun. I don’t have the signal for the animated series though. Not yet. Lol.

Nice review, Brad. BTW that mystery accessory is a device that sprays a fine mist that makes things like footprints show up when viewed with infrared goggles. Batman uses both the spray and the goggles in the episode "On Leather Wings". The tape recorder is also from the same episode. The security guard is using the tape recorder to practice his radio announcer voice and accidentally ends up taping himself being attacked by the Man-Bat. Batman finds the tape recorder using the spray and goggles, and then later uses the recording to track down Kurt Langstrom. If you get the limited edition of this figure, it also comes with the infrared goggles (as well as a cool swooping cape, a half Batman / half robot head, and a thumbs-up hand).

First off its not a 1/6 scale figure which is very disappointing to me i hate the knees and it’s basically a statue and the blue shadows was definitely a bad decision im passing but i hope someone can make one one day from the animated series cuz its my favorite cartoon of all time

Imho the proportions are a lil bit off. The chest is imho way too wide. He was a lil bit slimmer in the original TAS.

The arms are the only experimental articulation point they did well. The rest is kinda trash. Sometimes simple pins, double joints and double ball pegs are the best
