Your Level RR is set up properly. On my Mondraker Level R, I kept eco and took off Tour+. I think your bike is set up better. I very rarely use eco with the big 750 battery. Anyway, Auto mode tries to keep you at the same face. Auto mode is great for non technical climbs and especially long double track climbs. EMTB provides the range from Eco to Turbo, but is focused on the riders input, providing a progressive boost. It is the best mode for technical single track and technical climbs. The Mondraker is a brute! I use it here in the rocky mountains of colorado. Lots of steep baby head and toothy rock in our trails. The level eats it up!

You might need to get it looked at, the rear wheel seemed to keep drifting out to one side when you were in the air. 😜

Li-Ion batteries are supposed to be shipped at about ~20% charge as they are more volatile the higher their charge state is 👍👍

Nice review! Can you mullet it? 😉 I believe AUTO mode uses the whole spectrum of power ranges from ECO to TURBO and is more for commuters to maintain a constant pace. Might be good for fire road climbs. EMTB mode starts at TOUR and goes up to TURBO and is based on pedal feedback and is better suited for tech and overall trail riding. And yeah, its missing it's charging port plug/cover 🙃
@bestdayevermtb28 ай бұрын
Thanks for that. I figured there must be a cover for the charger point.

It's an epic bike. I was between Large and Extra Large (at 6ft2) .. and went with the L, the reach is spot on for me. Like you say it feels stable at speed yet nimble enough to throw around. I love the thing 👍 (btw mine came new with 60% charge here in Europe). Your also missing the rubber charge port cover and the bottle holder bolts. Looks like the bike you've been given has been looted for bits 😆 You can upgrade the charge port cover, first thing I did 👍

Good points on the battery....hadn't quite considered it fully like you did. As I'll be hauling a future eeb on a little caravan Camper like you were up to earlier, so being able to leave the bike stashe and safe for transit, yet recharge the battery remotely, is a nice convenience if you're on the RV road....Great review, and it's Hardline ready definitely! .....Mondraker has the best DH team - Dak, Dunne, pinkerton.....(used to race up against Dakota in a michigan dual slalom series years back, now he's podium'ing WCDH) I dig Mondraker....

@@bestdayevermtb2 Same here - ran into Ronan at the Snowshoe WCDH as he was buying a huge round of red bull (of course) + Jameson shots for the other racers he was celebrating with, and as he was scooping them up, mentioned 'hey, you're not 21 yet, are ya' Got a bit of a laugh and a wink - good thing the bar was oblivious! Really a terrific personality in the sport and I wish him well in 24.

Just bought a Mondraker level rr 2024 new for 5303 Euros seems like a good deal, was 25% off from original price, and 11% off because of black Friday, so i got 36% off the original price :D Edit: Also you are missing a cap for the charging Point since mine came whit one.

So the Mondraker level R; slightly lesser build with (fox 38 rythm, fox performance coil and Sram db8 brakes) for approx.. €4000,- euros seems like a no brainer? I have found a new one here in Germany. Thanks!

how tall are you? and you like size m?

176cm. Mondrakers are quite long so the medium suited me.
@ducinguyen55104 ай бұрын
I‘m 1,80 would you recommend m or L for me? I heard mondraker bikes tend to be a lil larger and you should downsize better so maybe the M? I appreciate your help mate
@bestdayevermtb24 ай бұрын
@@ducinguyen5510 Tricky one as it is all about personal preference. According to mondrakers size guide you could technically ride either but a large seems the better option. When I get a bike I look often at the Reach number. I see the level is 470 for the medium. My Large KTM is 450 so the Large would feel quite long for me. Ideally if possible try some bikes. I see Mondraker are having Demo days in NZ at the moment. Not sure where you are.
@ducinguyen55104 ай бұрын
@@bestdayevermtb2yeah i‘m riding an propain tyee size L and it has a 470 reach as well. Thats why i went for M on mondraker. I tested the L but it was very long and sluggish. I think i made the right choice. Greetings form germany mate

@@ducinguyen5510 I think over the years of reviewing bikes the ones I had the most fun on were generally on the smaller size. Either way have fun on your new bike in Germany.
