Monestir "Sant Joan de les Abadesses" amb "Els Segadors"

Monastery: Founded during the ninth century by Wilfred the Hairy who was in charge of the mission of reorganising the valley. The present construction is dated back to the twelfth century. The disposition of the apse corresponds to a provençal influence, whereby its exterior decoration with Lombard arcs, columns and capitals, some of which can be again found inside, is outstanding.
