I had the opportunity a number of years back to drag my watercolor easel and paints to Girveny and sketch/paint in Monet's garden. With the Japanese bridge in front of me and waterlilies floating around I stood pretty much where Monet stood. My watercolor was miserable, of course, but soaking in the atmosphere and spirit of "place" made me understand more about what Monet sought to accomplish in paint than any of the books I read about his work. This video came the closest to defining what Monet did in its short 16 minutes. Well done, and, as always, thank you for a wonderful look into this great master.

Also that last photo of Monet and friend on the bridge, is in itself a great capture.
