Your vlogs are great! It’s so great to hear your thought process and how you make decisions. When you sit down at sessions, do you go out with a goal (obviously winning)? Like plan to play for a certain amount of time, certain profit, certain earning per hour? When do you know you’ve played enough on a given day or session? Also, what mindset do you have when you play? I think the worst advice I’ve been given is only play with the money you’re willing to lose (it’s good because you’re playing within a limit you can live with, but are already set up to lose).

Hey Brad, great video as always! How often do you think your 5 is good in the hand around 7:30 mark (with 6d5d)? After villain calls a 125% flop overbet, it's hard to see how a 5 is good, unless he has better diamonds (in which case you still want to bet sometimes I think?). Would love to know what your thoughts on that spot are looking back. You think he ever floats with like AQ or KQ of hearts or something like that to that sizing? If he hung on with 88 or 77 or something on the flop, a turn barrel might get a fold. I think blasting it has some merit.

Hi Brad, first off great vlog and second, I was wondering how much a poker player should tip dealers? I have read different discussion threads about the topic and still am a little confused as to how much dealers should be tipped. Do you have a principle for tipping dealers? I was asking because I have never played poker at a casino before and plan to do so in a month.
@BradOwenPoker3 жыл бұрын
This is always a super touchy topic. When I was first playing poker for a living, I would mostly tip $1 or $2 per hand. If it was a big all in that I won, I'd tip $5 or $10. That was when I was struggling and the dealers were mostly all making more money than me. At this point I want to take care of them the best I can and I end up tipping more than most other players, especially those who play for a living. I also tip more to dealers or cashiers who make an extra effort to be pleasant, entertaining, or work hard. I think it's good to show people on the channel to be generous towards staff. On the flip side, I don't think anyone should be judged based on how they voluntarily give money to someone else. To sum it up, I don't have any principle, I kinda just go with what feels right and err towards the higher end most of the time these days.

One suggestion (that of course involves more work for you! Include # of hands in session in your text overlay) One of the things that really helped me grow as a poker player is right sizing my expectations.
