Sultans o f swings, money or nothing and walk of life, these three songs of dire strait will be forever in my heart, as i remember my father usually tuning in in our local fm radio in my province in the Philippines every 4-6pm there is program of rocks song, and if this song was played he always shout at me and says turn it up the stereo and we both rock on! Thats nostalgia to me, i miss my father much now were separated i have my own family now, my mother and father they live together in our old home, we visits them every 3months, i hope they will live more longer!😢😢

what are they about?
@chris_note Жыл бұрын
@@carlcr4425 It's about two retail workers regretting their decisions and wishing to be rockstar on MTV, and the lead comments on the singers at parts of the song, while they complain about their jobs. It was actually based on a conversation one of the band members heard over 2 people.

@@chris_notedope, but what did the “f*ggot” had to do with the lyrics? Just asking.
@chris_note4 ай бұрын
@oranggjooice8983 It was probably just a remark for how they felt about the guys getting paid to do what they like.
@user-el8zv9hx6r3 ай бұрын
the lyrics have the word "f ggot" in them. I had written this previously, and YT warned me that my comment was bullying and harassment, and deleted it. I guess it's all about that letter "a". So I can grow up with a mom who got in a lesbian relationship, and I got in fights, over and over, at times against multiple farm-boys, one time I was knocked unconscious and lost my front teeth... I loved her regardless of who she wanted to be in a relationship with... I stood up for a person's right to be in a homosexual relationship if they want to, and I did so at a time when it was NOT popular to do so... I, a straight person, stood up against an entire town of prejudicial people that felt the need to hurt people that were not straight, and I did so at the cost of actual physical harm, and at the cost being accepted by my peers, at a time when that acceptance is important... I can live my life as described, and someone who works at KZbin can JUDGE ME as someone that bullies and harrasses, THAT is what they call standing up for someone? You virtue-signalers are all poseurs. The lyrics are making fun of a meat-headed worker in a department store, who uses those words when speaking, ESPECIALLY when it hurts someone to hear it. KZbin sucks
