I agree with all your points. One counterpoint to add: the women cannot always go for criminal charges - sometimes D.A’s don’t want to prosecute cause there isn’t enough forensic evidence and it turns into a “he said she said” they don’t want to risk an L - especially against a celebrity. So the only option left for the women is civil [criminal is “beyond reasonable doubt” vs civil “preponderance of evidence”]. But agree - sometimes the women can press criminal charges and they don’t, then it looks very odd when later they go the civil route.

What you're missing is that she probably accepted the severance under duress. Whenever there's sexual harassment going on, it's a power dynamic that the employee may not want to be involved in but feel they have no choice and want to quit anyways but needs the money, or their career was threatened with blackballing or blacklisting. It's not about a severance package if there was coercion, threatening and intimidation, retaliation, or any other illegal acts involved previously. That needs to come upnas as to what led to her departure.. The EEOC and Department of Labor Relations and Standards Enforcement would bring all that up to create a picture of a hostile work environment. If she doesn't do that, Kanye could paint it as an extortion attempt, and I hate to say it, but first accusation garners more credibility.

What I took away from this, if Kanye would’ve continued to pay her, then she wouldn’t continued to let the sexual harassment continue. Seems like she would’ve had a case without the alleged harassment because she wasn’t paid. My issues with these alleged victims is that they wait til the money isn’t coming in anymore to say they been assaulted or harassed and it makes them look like they only in it for the money, which is sad cause it makes it hard to believe the real victims out there who isn’t trying to get money but justice.
