Imagine what it was like before 2002 when every country in Europe had its own currency. Ireland: Irish Pound (also known as the Punt which is Pound in Irish), also the Irish Pound was legal tender until February 2002 to help people the changeover France: French Francs Germany: Deichmark Spain: Pesetas Italy: Italian Lera Holland: Dutch Krone
