Did the whole excavator tip over, or did the log just fall out of the bucket? Looked a bit precarious there. Enjoying the videos. Thanks

If you want to continue in the lumber business maybe you should consider getting your own sawmill. I saw quite a bit of your wood wasted. No offense but I would like to see you succeed.

Thanks for the suggestion. A mill is in my future for sure! You are the second or third person who said something similar. How much wood do you think was wasted? Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@SJForestProducts Jason it's hard to say how much was wasted because I wasn't there in person but a 10 to 15% estimate wouldn't be out of reason. I can't really tell thickness and width in a video. Logosol makes great saws check out KZbinr April Wilkerson she has one and loves it. You seem like a hard working man who deserves all for your effort. Gold and trees are hard.

WOW Jason, I just can not watch our sawmill operator waste so much of your logs v/ lumber with his inapt ability to get the most yield from your logs. All the more reason for you to try to move up the date for you to get your own sawmill. Ron

Yeah, a mill is in the works for me. How much wood do you think he is wasting? Am I loosing 25%?
@ronalves9118
@ronalves9118 2 жыл бұрын
@@SJForestProducts Hi Jason, In my opinion you are losing from 30 to 40 percent. I am not an expert but I have owned three different mills and I never had that much waste. Before you but just check out a few different mills. Most are great but some are much more expensive, If I were to do it over again I would get the Timber King, But also probably one of the most expensive. But starting over maybe look at the Woodland Mills, Hud-son mills. They both have a great rep and not to expensive. Just think about what size logs you will be cutting and base you mill size to what you want to cut. Ron

0:58 You most certainly *CAN* video record a sheriff's deputy during the course of his duties. That is a First Amendment guaranteed right of any US citizen. See *Fordyce v City of Seattle* (1993), where the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals said, _"[Fordyce] will have a declaratory judgment establishing that _*_RCW 9.73.030 [Wiretapping]_*_ does not prohibit the videotaping or sound-recording of conversations held in a public street, within the hearing of persons not participating in the conversation, by means of a readily apparent recording device."_ That also applies to recording any conversation on your own property. 3:35 Wouldn't it be swell if that's all the time it actually took to buck a log?
