Wife and I have been OTR O/O for about 9 years now. We are interested in MAYBE doing expedite someday. The idea of being free of trailers is very appealing, plus the fancier, better equipped sleeper (we would only take a truck with a shower and turlet) . I do have a couple questions after watching this. One, why did one of your trucks have a lower weight ability than another? Second, why is the oil a special oil vs basic diesel truck oil?

Glad to hear that you guys did so very well in your first month with your own authority!!! You should easily be able to order that oil through Amazon and have it delivered to your home or an Amazon locker like when you were in New Mixico waiting a week for your next load. Easy peezy. Personally, I would go with AMSOIL, but everyone has their own personal preferences. I have been using it exclusively since 1980. Best of luck to both of you!!!!

so we pay us and we pay the business so it has money to run itself. Our line of work isn't one I would grow right now. I think a lot of things will hit the fan. This was our best month ever, doing this for around 3 and a half years. It would probably be better to drive for a fleet owner then to buy your own truck. ours used was 27,500 used with a bit of money put into it. New one would go for $350-375. Fuel prices are rising and now the rates are going back to pre covid era.
