Valuable content Sarah. Over a year ago I felt stuck. Then your videos pulled me through and I was able to get out. I'm now hugely successful with dropshipping and made over $400k in sales in 2018 over multiple stores. Thanks for helping me as I'm now trying to get out of my comfort zone in front of the camera, and start recording the dropshipping journey on KZbin. ❤

Brutally honest, which makes for an absolutely great example to create a video on. Very well done. And thank you for taking the time to explain all your comments. I found it very helpful to understand exactly why you found the store untrustworthy and lazy. You totally nailed why the stopsign shirt looked wrong and FONT does matter. Picking the right font really is basic graphics arts 101. Picking the wrong font really strongly gives the impression that NO effort was made to do it correctly or that it was created by someone with no experience, both are big red flags. Sarah, I really enjoyed this video and have been thinking about making a Shopify store for a long time. What is the real difference between building a branded Shopify store and building a branded website that sells your merchandise? Can the Shopify store be part of a larger fan website for a KZbinr? or am I mixing business models? I sincerely hope you are recovering well and enjoying your extended stay in Calgary. This is also a small test to see if you read your comments! LOL

Hey Sarah, love your videos and you seem like a delightful person! This comparison was super helpful! No need to apologize for the look of this video. Actually, you look better here because of the darker background. In your usual videos, you just sort of blend into the background as there's very little contrast to make you stand out from it. Create more contrast between you and your background on purpose in future videos for a better effect and quality video!

Think about who you're trying to sell to. What you know about domainers is that they have the foresight and planning to buy something when it's cheap and hold it till it's needed. They are probably the kinds of people who stock up on T-shirts during clearance sales, not splash out on overpriced slogan shirts on a whim. Domainers do it not for passion, but to earn money. Sell them something that will make them more money or easier money. You could probably compile some lists that would be of use to them.

I'm so loving this channel, thank you!! I have a question/request: do you have (or can you make) a video regarding outsourcing your customer services? This is actually the main thing for me in hesitating getting into this business - I don't wanna spend my time answering unhappy customers emails :// I'm so done with that for 2 lifetimes at least... But I've never managed employees, let alone remote ones, I've no clue how to make this work, where I'd even begin... Thanks!
@uthakgaming89605 жыл бұрын
great question. I manage staff in excess of 100+ ppl but wouldn't know how to facilitate or find the right candidate as this is not my field of expertise. I would think the best option would be to write to universities or general craigslist posts looking for community management students and hire them as hourly contractors or better yet commission based only. commissioning them out sales made (your business pulls, he gets paid, it tanks (possibly due to bad community management) and he doesn't get paid. that kind of gig) in general commission based pay can be expensive, but cheap if you're not doing well - but then why would you need a CM? and if you're just starting out hiring a contractor can be disastrous to minimal starting profits and discourage you to scale as you're running red numbers. ---> I'm looking forward to hear what an actual ecommerce veteran has to say. and may I add: How common is it to outsource or hire contractors (outside gig-designers) in this field?

Hi Sarah. You've heard this before, but keep on feeling better. No relation to the above vid, but could you do something on basics of data security for e-commerce sometime? I realise different countries have different legal requirements, but there must be some general principles that everyone needs to stick to, everywhere. (I'm imagining someone having a file of customer information on a no-password laptop that gets stolen in a cafe or on a beach. This must have happened many times.) Other thing - if you haven't already, could you say something about standard, not so exciting things that need to be on every store? I'm thinking about FAQs, a question-raising facility, statements on privacy and on returns policy - that kind of thing. All best

I am absolutely terrified of being too late to the game to make any money with dropshipping, and really my only concern is shipping times. 3-5 weeks is a long time to wait for a product even if it is fairly unique. I know you tell people that these times are okay if you express them openly and freely, but I guess I just need some sort of reassurance that this can still happen in 2019-2020.

Domainers are like speculators who warehouse real estate instead of renting it waiting for prices to go up.
