Im really sorry to hear about your loss :( what you are describing sounds like a foliar fungus, not very serious but can spread throughout the plant and is caused by irregular watering typically. My suggestion is to cut the plant back like I showed and place outside in a shady location once weather permits and it’ll flush out new growth and start a new chapter. Blessings to you

Can you explain how you keep your plants from attracting bugs and infestations while being outdoors and preventing them from spreading it to the other plants when we bring it indoors? I know some people give it bonide and isolate it, and it's a lot of work 😭
@plantvibrations2 ай бұрын
I've never had problems with getting bugs while the plants are outside. the plants are healthiest while outdoors and that keeps them resilient against pests. its when they are indoors in a forced environment that their immunity decreases making them more susceptible. i wouldn't worry about that

There will be a point along the stems where the leaves' green stems start to turn into brown woodier stems. you want to cut in the green section about an inch above where that woodiness section begin

@@plantvibrations CLARIFICATION: Thank u for replying so quickly I bought my plant (small pot, 1 foot tall) from a store last year. Lol, I wish I could send or post a photo. I'll do my best to describe . . . Looking at the leaves & stems now, each has a singular stem growing up, which branch off into multiple leaves. The new stems r about 8 inches tall. If I'm understanding correctly, if I cut back to where the the stems start to look woodier, it looks like it would be back to where the plant was originally pruned to before being shipped for selling (cut the 8 inches new stems off, down to the top of the main trunks). Would that sound correct? Would pruning this much still encourage the trunk to grow in height & more full foliage? Or should I wait 1 or 2 years (allow the new stem growths to get a bit woody) before I prune? Thanks in advance!🙏🏻

Thanks for the great video! Please, I have a question and hope for some help. We have a money tree in our house (based in UK). It has grown in a full on tree, reaching the ceiling of the room. It is quite close to a window so it does have some direct light, the window is orientated south west. It is braided with four main small trunks, each one of them generating a branch. The question is, the branches have gone really long and high. Now, all the leaves of the lower part have gone quite yellow and I had to remove them. Leaving 3/4 of the plant without leaves. Only having leaves in the high part of the tree. Is there a way for us to bring some growth to the lower part of the tree? Is pruning going to help? I hope it makes sense and I am open to any suggestion! Thanks.

It took about a month or more for the soil to dry out so I became worried about root rot so I stopped watering. I also became concerned that I may have planted the trunk a little to low in the soil, so is pushed the soil away from the trunk. It seemed to help it came back and with lots of new foliage. But now here it is May I haven't lost anymore leaves since December or any yellow leaves. BUT now I noticed one of the trunks on it is dried out at the bottom like if its dehydrated. Is there any way of saving it? Any recommendations? Thank You

is it better to fertilize the money tree after you transplant?
@plantvibrations6 ай бұрын
Give it a month after transplant before fertilizing

Hi I’m new to the channel and just bought a money tree from heb and I water it with 2 ice cubes every Wednesday is that all it needs? Also is it normal to be sideways ?
@plantvibrations5 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend using ice cubes. Normal water is fine. If it’s leaning to one side, rotate it regularly

@@plantvibrations ok I’ll just start doing that. Thank you and have a blesssd day

Just got one for our home to improve air quality. After 1st day you could tell the difference. Let us know when you restock plant food 😄

Ive overly attached to this money tree i bought years ago, unfortunately im down to only two stems, is there anywhere a new stem could grow? Ive done what you said by cutting the top of one of my stems(as a test cause i dont wanna kill it) and hoping that'll promote a new shoot growing to make it bushier. If there is a way to send you a photo and get some more tips that would be greatly appreciated, thank you for this video though ill watch it a few times

What type of soil you use? Can I use any kind of soil or the tomatoes soil will work for money tree?do you meant by soil for indoor?
@plantvibrations5 ай бұрын
I would suggest a houseplant potting mix

So how are you going to water it? Keep it in the cache or remove? You struggled to drop it in
@plantvibrations8 ай бұрын
Keep it in the cache for now!
@jul76738 ай бұрын
But all drained water will be sitting in the cache pot

@jul7673 he's quite experienced, he knows how much water to use without it drowning. I would use a large saucer, any pooling water can be removed with a baster.

My trunk is sprouting leaves, do you think it's time tore-plant?

Just nub the sprouts out like I show in the video

Just bought a money tree it was the last one left. It has a bad lean. How can I fix it. Otherwise it is a beauty
@plantvibrations2 ай бұрын
You can cut it back and place outside in sun and that should help straighten it out. you can also repot it and reposition it more upright

Thank you!

Nah…with all this work I would definitely replant it in a larger pot; it’s a big beautiful plant and deserves a larger home.

It is just so hard to move as is, and i don't know if I'd be able to in an even larger pot!

Do we want direct sunlight or not 🤷🏽♀️
@plantvibrations7 ай бұрын
Inside the home ‘direct’ light behind a window is great. But if you put outside in the warmer months, direct light would be too much
