A lot of us were so surprised by him rapping, but I saw a video of him younger- maybe 5-6 years ago (rough estimate) where he was answering interview questions and he was asked “what’s your summertime anthem right now?” And he replied, “we be steady mobbin” I was like 😮 woah Morgan! 😂 I love that he has such a wide variety of taste and influence in music 🔥

I love how the South is producing so many Country/Rap crossover banger songs. They always have such a cool 'outlaw' swagger about them! Morgan just announced he will be putting on a new festival, taking over from Hangout, in Alabama for three days called Sand In My Boots. Might be bringing along some of his friends he has collaborated with. Such cool times for music! :D

I'm not sure what's going on in Country Music right now, but one would think that this song wouldn't be on the Country charts just as Mo's featured spot on Broadway Girls with Durk was not a "Country song"; but this one is on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart as well as the Hot Rap Songs chart, but something else that makes this all strange is the level of competition right now. I think that this song landed #4 on Hot Rap Songs due to the massive numbers at this particular time at the top songs on that chart, and on the Country side, it is even more competitive; it debuted at #6 on Hot Country Songs when, in normal times, it wouldn't even be allowed as a Country song, but if it had, it would have debuted at #1 on each. Wallen's purposeful diversity in music releasing is amazing. He's got a hipped-hopped-infused Country song on Country radio right now fromr his album; his 8th and last Single from that album feat ERNEST; Ern is a writer on this one and the radio Single Cowgirls; he's got sort of a classic pop ballad just released a week ago called Lies Lies Lies; and he has a teased song out that reminds me of 70s soft rock. All masterfully written, sung and produced. Almost any Wallen involved song that is upbeat is going to have both ERNEST and Voljtesak listed; or sometimes Voljtesak is listed under his producer alias Charlie Handsome. Both names are listed on this one; both a writer and a producer.
