Same everything, even age. To top it off I started doing Door Dash and Uber eats, making a minimum of $100 a day, three weeks into it I had a minor accident, (not while working) and my insurance company totaled my car. The airbags didn’t even deploy. I was counting on doing the gig work the rest of the year in that car, it got over 32 mpg even with 167k miles on it. Got a used van, it gets 17-18 mpg, so delivering isn’t nearly as appealing, BUT, the car lot I bought my van from hired me, and I’m learning a whole new career. The pay isn’t great, but I dash a few hours a week here and there to add to the bottom line. I did get the van though because the price was right, and if push comes to shove, I can live in it. 🤷♀️

Cooking with limitations is a worthy challenge met in different ways by different people. I love my slow cooker. It is the "Crockpot" brand. I notice the Target website (no affiliation) shows the following information as of April of 2021: 2 quart model costs $9.99 and uses 100 watts of power, 3 quart model uses 170 watts of power and costs $17.99. I assume other stores will have similar prices. Larger and more complex models cost more and use more power. I think it is quite remarkable that I can cook a meal for a couple of people in 8 to 10 hours for the same price as running a lamp using a hundred watt light bulb. Slow cooker recipes are easy to find and easy to make. Start your meal in the morning, leave it alone all day, and it is ready in the evening.
