Think 1099 div only lists qual and non qual divs. 1099 b is the form that lists cap gains and losses

This is super helpful! I hadn't thought that far ahead with future taxes on my brokerage account. Essentially (assuming that the gains grow and grow and you buy and hold for a long time), you should plan to have enough cash each year to pay more and more capital gains tax each year? i.e. this year you paid $1,100 in taxes but every year you get more capital gains and bigger brokerage account, that number will probably increase?

9:46 Are 4 week T-bills that are set to automatically re-invest 11 times (hence for 1 year) subject to long or short-term capital gains? Also, if they re-invest 11 times, do you snag a tax bill at the end of each 4 week period?

I have a hsa with fidelity and my tax forms are scheduled to be available after the filing deadline. Any advice on how to deal with the hsa deduction when you don’t get the forms in time? I guess the obvious answer would be file for an extension

For the first time last year I was taxed on dividends and savings account interest, so I guess I'm now in rich girl territory :O
