Mongolia | Sascha Radetsky Interview

We are all remembering Hero of Labor, State Medalist and People's Actor B. Jamiyandagva (1932-2021), who passed away on November 11. Jamiyandagva served as General Ballet Master of the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet beginning with its founding in 1963. Through his tireless work, Jamiyandagva was instrumental in first establishing ballet in Mongolia and then making Mongolia one of the world's great ballet nations.
Blue Silk Travel is remembering with fondness our opportunity to work with Jamiyandagva in 2012 when we brought American Ballet Theatre soloist Sascha Radetsky to dance with the State Academic Theatre. In this video, Radetsky speaks to the Mongolian press after his first performance in Ulaanbaatar, while Jamiyandagva celebrates with the dancers.
