So cool, Mongolia has a great reputation for wrestling. I'd love to try there, or pushing in Chen Village. It would be fun to try against both styles.

Chen style doesn't just do push hands they do stand up wrestling as a part of Chen taijiquan. Probably many videos of chenjia you taijiquan wrestling sparring

Yes that's why I mentioned Chen Village as they do more recognisable wrestling. The older Yang guys, even Li De Yin would wrestle but you dont see it much now.

@@IanMcc1000 Chen wrestling is pretty decent the only holes I see is they dont do grip fighting much due to taiji mechanics being against that and no ground work. I think Wu style has great wrestling due to their founders being Manchurian wrestling masters first before learning taijiquan.

@@teovu5557 I've not done any Wu style apart from that which appears in the Beijing Standard Forms. As with all Taiji it's not really about the forms themselves, but how movements are performed and the postural principles and body mechanics behind them. They could be applied/added to an wrestling style. If you look close there are arm drags, swimming for underhooks, throws, takedowns and I would argue that a hook hand can be a grip as well as a strike.
