In my opinion, it devalues the bike by having unqualified people assembling them at walmart. Their floor models should always be at a reduced price simply for that reason. I'd rather put it together myself.

I bought a Schwinn Al Comp for my girlfriend's birthday and we had to take it back because the pedal was cross threaded and CRANKED down, it took a large pair of vice grips for me to break it loose. Blame the store, not the bike! lol. I feel you on the groupset though, the pro rush stuff is garbage.

Tony take that junk back and pick up one the Giordanos from Walmart. You already have an Axum. The Giordano Valor or Intrepid look amazing and need some Tony Magic. I love your bike builds and would love to see what you do with one of those.

I’m trying to keep the costs down since it’s a temporary bike but I think I will give it a second chance. No Giordanos locally. Once I get back home I will turn the Ardor into a trail worthy bike.

mine was the same but i put it together and i still use the pedals on a different bike theyre rocker bros. its a flaw in the crank not build imo but i could have cross threaded by mistake but dont believe

maybe you took a decision on this bike because the sole chainring setup and the crank pedal thread failed immediately. this Scks

@@TonyHob by the way, Tony, when I first bought the boundary, i noticed that pro rush shifter is garbage. I couldn't click into 5th gear without massive amount of force. Every gear was fine, just 5th gear on the shifter. Called schwinn, they insisted it was my tuning....😏 yeah, like I don't know what I'm doing. Not a good groupset. It went straight back to walmart...😆

I already have an Axum but this Mongoose is absolutely crap and honestly over priced. With that said I plan on keeping it for the frame. I ordered a new crankset in the meantime so I can ride around here while on this work trip.

😂 I have a carbon fiber FS bike at home. I can’t justify spending that much on a bike I am going to use while on a work assignment for 3 months before the snow kicks in. I go over the reasons in the first video. But you are right, in Spanish there’s a saying: “el que brega con mierda, siempre está cagado” 😂

just bought a mongoose excursion.. what a piece of junk!!!! rode it home from the walmart.. total junk.. but I needed it to be able to travel to the nursing home my mom's in 20 miles away.. it takes over 61/2 hours walking, 11/2 hours riding! walked 7 miles friday, before gettin a ride..temp was 88 degrees..it bout killed me and Im 68 yrs old...takin the mongoose back!
