The reason why naira Marley has a very strong Yoruba accent is because he left Nigeria at a very young age when you still hear your parent's very deep accent. Ijinle Yoruba. Not old enough to form his own filtered take. I had a friend who lived all his life in UK and his Yoruba was way better than mine.

facts , same for me as a born Jamaican hearing my Nigerian father speak in the house at an early age I subconsciously mimicked his accent and now I can very easily switch between proper english , jamaican patois yoruba and an American accent because of that strong american influence and travel here
