Monica De Gennaro - Unbelievable Volleyball Digs Saves | Best Libero Actions | Women's VNL 2019
Monica De Gennaro (born 8 January 1987) is an Italian professional volleyball player. She plays for Imoco Volly and for the Italy women's national volleyball team. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. She is 1.74 m (5 ft 9 in) tall.

Career
De Gennaro played with her national team at the 2014 World Championship. There her team ended up in fourth place after losing 2-3 to Brazil the bronze medal match. She was selected to be tournament's Best Libero.
De Gennaro won the 2016-17 CEV Champions League silver medal with Imoco Volley Conegliano after losing the final match 0-3 to the Turkish VakıfBank Istanbul winning also the Best Libero award.
She won the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix silver medal and the Best Libero individual award.

She is the BEST libero in women's volleyball. Her pass is phenomenal. Her sets are extremely accurate and adapt to each player (e.g. Kimberly Hill loves low and quick balls, while Egonu loves high balls). In the Italy national team, she and Lucia Bosetti do the reception to support the attack of Sylla and Egonu. Her defence is so exceptional that she could sometimes defend the attacks from world-class attackers, such as Zhu Ting and Boskovic. She is a world-class and complete libero.
