Relax. She was born into wealth. A childhood in Beverly Hills. It's always better to be depressed in a warm bed in a fancy house, then as a homeless person sleeping on a bench. How do you think she got her expensive dentists and jobs at the White House/Pentagon? And read about her past. She was obsessed about affairs with married men and generally about $ ex before she met Clinton. With Clinton she wanted to push him to full $ exual relationships but he did not want to go there. In other words, she was/is a predator. Clinton himself is a victim of an abusing mother, which is probably what took him into his $ ex addict ion. He underwent a psychological therapy after this scandal.

Societal shaming? If anything she shamed herself by the poor choices she made. Look... I am not defending Bill Clinton in any way, shape, or form because being a much older man who was married and more importantly the leader of this country he should have known better than to mess around with an intern over half his age. But, no one is to blame for the choices Monica made except Monica herself. She even had a few other affairs after this Clinton debacle so who else is to blame for that? Let us be honest here because Bill Clinton did not make her do anything she did not want to do. She could have easily rebuffed his advances and walked away which is what a strong, independent, respectable woman would do but she was a lowly intern desperate to advance her career. Oh... and let us also not pretend Clinton was the first and only president to be caught with his pants down because there were many others who did the same. The difference is he was caught.

It's really so true. Society considers 18 an adult. But your brain doesn't stop developing until age 25. So early 20s in many ways depending on the person and their upbringing, can be just as confusing as a teenager. Being able to look ahead at consequences of actions is true maturity. I say this as someone who just blasted Monica in the 90s. I just couldn't see her side at all and we're the same age. But now at almost 50 I can really see how young and stupid you are at that age. Having watched Monica’s story more, just makes me realise how much it wasn’t her fault and how classy and kind she actually is. So many women have fallen victim to an older, powerful man, and as a young woman it’s almost impossible to see where it’s going to go or how to stop it before it’s too late. Especially when it’s the first time it’s happened to you. I think she’s an amazing person, and Bill Clinton was the one who definitely should’ve known better in every way.

Initially, I felt sorry for Monica for years. But truth be told, Monica targeted the President of the United States. A few years ago, she was identifying w the MeToo movement and felt Clinton should apologize. I remembered the thong incident and thought Monica might eventually realize that Clinton felt trapped. He realized his mistake in responding to her sexual come-on so wanted to end it. But realized that Monica's style was such that she would probably reveal to the press what happened. So he let the involvement go on, letting Monica think this was an affair but in actuality he was probably wishing she would disappear. It has been hard for her to come to terms w this. She nearly wrecked Betty Currie's career w her constant badgering. I am glad Monica has recovered from the painful embarrassment. She's a beautiful woman. I hope she matures fully to the point where she acknowledges she was primarily at fault. No, I don't like Bill Clinton. A serial womanizer and worse.

It would be different today because back then all the blame was put on Monica and none on Bill. The media shamed her for it. Sounds like she is still ‘in love’ with him. He got what he wanted, he has moved on. He is a predator, no shame, no remorse. Can you imagine what Chelsea must say about all that? Geez dad, I thought you were working?

Monica, You have risen above the darkest part of your life. There are so many people who have low self-esteem who resort to hurting themselves. I am so proud of you for getting the victory over this. Please encourage young people whose self- esteem has been marred.

One thing that might have kept her out of this mess was 'my motto' when I was 18, until the day I got married...."I don't get involved with married men." I got hit on by quite a few but always, always told them that I don't get involved with married men. It's a good policy to live by and would have helped her to avoid the apparent shame she felt from the public.

Yeeep; of course he took advantage of her being a person of power etc .
