Es la Puerta de Alcalá , diseñada por Francisco Sabatini (1778) por orden de Carlos III , puerta conmemorativa de su entrada en Madrid , una de las 5 puertas reales que daban acceso a Madrid , esta es la que se usaba cuando se viajaba desde Aragón , Cataluña o Francia , de estilo Neoclásico , ubicada en la Plaza de la Independencia .
