You're right, they do wrap up relationships very quickly. It's a shame, but I think it's just for the sake of the plot and the limited episodes they can do. I just think of it as part of the shows theme. It's the kind of comedy show where they don't put too much emphasis on intimacy and relationships, it's just all about being funny. Despite relationships being short, I always get a kick out of how the relationships end. When I watched friends for the first time, I caught this theme and I always excitedly anticipated how the next break up would be cuz they always come up with something hilarious. Like in this case with Genene, I knew she wasn't perfect for joey so I was curious as to how the break up would happen, the fact that she cannot click with Monica and Chandler is just so funny and caught me off guard haha. Also, it kind of makes sense because Monica and Chandler have always been considered social outcasts, and they constantly experience rejection. So someone like Genene who is very good looking and a dancer is only selective to some people, may be superficial people who grew up being attractive and who don't understand what it's like to be rejected. It was obvious Monica and Chandler have rejection issues because they overreacted over Genenes rejection. They both had inferiority complexes due to their upbringing, like Monica was overweight and received a lack of attention from her parents, and Chandler was embarrassed by his parents and was a nerd back then.

Great reactions! You should do a Scream 4 one because while at the time it wasn’t considered as good as the others it’s aged really well. The themes explored are much more relevant today and the trio are awesome.
