Pop culture unfortunately sleeps on Monica. Monica has many accolades. She was a huge teenage Pop star in the 90s and was one of a few artists that decade to have one of the most #1 hits on Billboard Hot 100. Monica made history by having 3 consecutive #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, following the footsteps of the legendary Whitney Houston (who has 7 consecutive #1 hits on Billboard Hot 100). Additionally, Monica had successful Albums and "The Boy Is Mine" is the greatest selling/most successful female duo hit of all time in global history. Monica is a vocal beast as well and was singing like a grown woman since the age of 10 (I believe). It's sad how Monica is sandwiched under other teenage Pop stars like Brandy, Usher, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, NSYNC, Christina Agulera, and Aaliyah when Monica rivaled them in the 90s.
