Hey Moni! Try interval jumping rope. For example jumping for 20 seconds and walking in place for 2 mins to lower your heart rate, then jumping rope for 20 seconds. Try doing this for 20 minutes. Good luck! Now back to the video! From one June babe to another June babe, happy belated birthday!🎂

Monica, try walking on a 15% incline with a 20lb workout vest for 5 miles while increasing/decreasing the speed…. It really helps with my endurance… just make sure you up your water intake. ❤

That sounds so hard, but I know I need to get pass the mental aspect of this. I will order a vest. I only have a bike, and I don't go to the gym. Do you think I can do this by walking up and down the steps in my house, or maybe higher resistance on my bike?

@@awedbymonica yes…when I first tried it I cussed myself out, lol… I started with 2 miles then I increased it to 5 miles…I’ve been doing it now fir 5 weeks. I’ve been doing it in my garage and it’s like walking up Stone Mountain twice. I drink plenty of water & bcaa’s.

Diastasis Recti mama. It can happen with any trauma to that area but most significantly thru childbirth and happens in infants. If I didn’t repair mine within a certain timeframe, it would have been irreparable and no matter how hard or long you work out there will be no definition or fixing so keep that in mind. I did it six months after giving birth, breastfed right after because the pain was really nothing. The only annoying part was the drainage tubes. You have to wear them until the doc says you’re okay so I had to wear mine under my clothes going to work. The good thing is that I was able to wear maternity clothes without anyone batting an eye…lol I’m not a surgery fan myself it was one of the best things I did for myself. Im telling you this because when I found out what was wrong it was through white blogs. Most black women are still unaware there is a name for it - we just think oh it’s my mommy pooch because many times we’re ill-informed. Did you ever find out why there was a crib in the room?? HILARIOUS 😂😂😂😂😂

The braids look great. And to think that you actually did them yourself, wow! The first dress is fabulous. I loved it from the start when you had it in one of your other vlogs. I also love the third dress, the one where you're cutting the cake. Happy Belated Birthday. As for the quiet luxury concept, I also find it a bit comical. And I agree that there are some who take all of this a bit too seriously as it's just fashion and to me fashion is a way of expressing oneself whether so-called, "quiet" or " loud". We're all different, Thank goodness. I've never been cookie cutter when it comes to fashion. Some days, I'm into the Banana Republic safari, khaki tone look and other days I'm into the Farm Rio bright look and about everything in between. Switching things up keeps it interesting for me. And as far as you commenting that you've probably been doing this longer than a lot. Well, you also have probably been around longer than a lot of some folks doing vlogs now. I sure have been as I'm in my sixties and have seen the fashion pendulum swing all over the place for decades. I go with "my" fashion flow whether "quiet" or "loud". And I watch various vloggers and of all ages to see different fashion items and to decide what I might want to add to my fashion wardrobe. Keep up the great work! Greetings from Los Angeles

Seriously Monica, when I hear you talk about yourself, its as if I am hearing myself talk about me. I itch too when I ran outside. I do find that to overcome that, I need to get past the itch and be consistent either in running or brisk walking because walking does it for me too and it is the most UNCOMFORTABLE, nauseating skin crawling itch ever without a proper description for anyone’s understanding. It is so bad. But the solution is to ran feel the itch, stop, come back the next day feel the itch, repeat till you don’t and you got to keep at it. At least that’s what works for me. Unfortunately I have to do this all over again when I fall off the running train. Oh I also get headaches in the hot sun.

I have the itching disorder too and the way you just described it is identical to my plight. I got it from my father and unfortunately, I gave it to my son. When I used to run, the itching would stop once I hit the 2 mile threshold. The key is not to scratch and the misery will not last as long. I also itch when I wear tight things i.e., ankle straps, tight belts or watches, etc. once the itching comes to a head, my body gets warm all over. And don’t let me see gross things on my run…that sends me out of my mind. Most won’t discuss this disorder because people tend to view us like we have two heads or something. Thanks to you and Monica for sharing. Nice to know I’m not alone although I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

Hi Moni! I have an auto immune deficiency that causes me to over produce histamine. The over production causes rashes and breakouts that itch like crazy. If I randomly scratch or if I get over heated I start to itch. If I would breath sometimes I used to get a rash and itch. It occurs suddenly and when I’m outside and inside. I was prescribed Levocitirizine or OTC it’s called X-zal. It’s an allergy medication. One at night and I’m good. It’s nothing strong or major but it has stopped the rashes and itching. Just thought I’d share just in case you want to inquire about that. Histamine over production could cause you to itch. Thanks for sharing.

Moni many Black people have this and its difficult to describe to doctors. I had it and it was so bad I wanted to get out of my skin. I discovered it was my circulation design. I spray magnesium oil on my thighs and arms I drink hydration IV, when I sit I just for any reason, I use a wooden massage roller on my legs thighs ankles upper arms. I take a paddle on my buttockss and just hit them of course not to hurt and I get spinal and lymphatic massages on the regular.
