I’m also a Canadian that moved to London under the same working holiday visa in 2019 and now here for another 3 years as my work has sponsored me for a work visa! I completely relate to everything you touched on! The tea you were drinking is a Chinese medicine we used when getting a cold. I'm not an expert, but I'm not sure if you can just drink it as a tea. Just FYI.

Hmm so I believe if you didn’t apply for the permit residence thing before Jan 2021 you’re now treated the same as other countries where you need a work sponsor… I’m not sure if there’s something like a T5 visa for European countries. :/

It’s definitely a struggle making friends as a young adult. I’m American and I moved to London about a year and some months ago and I’m still struggling. Maybe it’s the introvert in me as well lol 😂

I just had to sign everything virtually and send an international bank transfer for the deposit. A bit risky! 😬
