This is my extended video version I edited together alongside Monie Love's early 90's smash, "It's A Shame (My Sister)" (Cool As Mix). This is one of my ALL TIME favorite joints, and when I finally found the video on KZbin, I couldn't resist making a remix video for it. I didn't MAKE the actual song mix itself, but I did do all the editing. So I hope you all enjoy it as you take a stroll down memory lane. Also, I must give a shoutout to KZbin user: cecchinatodj -- for the awesome quality video.

Not really a sample, they recreated and replayed the Greatest Dancer, you can hear it's not the same as Nile and Bernard playing but it's close. Maybe the Nile riffs were filtered out and those are samples as they sound very close but the bassline and other elements are clearly replayed. And that's several years before Jiggy Wit It

It's awful that this mix of the song is not available electronically. I remember forcing my brother to buy me the cassette single back in 1991. This IS the version played in the US which lifted it to #26 on the Billboard charts - a huge deal for a British female rapper at the time. The original is also excellent but, here, to choose Sister Sledge's immortal "He's the Greatest Dancer" to sample? Genius.

Yes "He's the greatest dancer"...In the instrumental sample you hear the band CHIC . Nile Rodgers (guitar) and Bernard Edwards (bass) wrote it, arranged it, played on it and produced it. Its classic CHIC. with a signature Nile Rodgers groove. Hear also Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" or Beyonce's "Cuff It"
