Surprisingly cool electro sounding synth disco tune by Eastern German singer Monika Herz. Can be found (among some other nice songs) on her album "Komm - Wir Müßten Mal Reden" from 1987.

Monika Herz war eine sehr beliebte und bekannte Sängerin in der DDR und ihre Hits wie Kleiner Vogel oder Charly ade sind Kultschlager. Auch heute noch gibt sie Konzerte auch mit ihrem Sohn David.

I'm very sensitive to specific tones of music for no reason myself so I think I get it. Plus, or a lot of music from the Warsaw Pact in the 80's, it can be easy to project what we knew was coming onto their vaguely melancholic tunes, and create a more depressing atmosphere than was intended.

It's uplifting melancholy to me. Strange how different we all are. Some other songs that are incredibly sad to me i read comments from other people that those songs are uplifting and relaxing. 😅
