There are a few videos I have planned next, but I can add it to the list! I do talk about barcodes briefly in my "How to Keep Track of Your Inventory" video. But to help answer your question, Shopify has an app called, "Retail Barcode Labels" that you can download on your website and be able to print labels from there! I use the Dymo label Writer for printing (link is in the description). Hope this helps! :)

How do you work directly with the manufacture? I have a boutique and I want to create my own designs but I don’t want to sew them myself. I’m also comfortable with taking pieces of clothing with the owners consent and putting my logo on them. Most people buy into the brand so they want to see it all over clothing.

What if the product doesn't have a tag or label can you then add your own? I've noticed most of the clothes I've bought from China the dresses did not have any labels on it not even how to wash them.

Z. Stephenson no shein is not a whole seller. But if you order from a whole seller you can remove the tags (not label) and add your own. A lot of people even just add their own without removing anything.

How would you package wholesale jewelry that comes in it's own branded packaging from the maker (these makers also sell their own products on their own websites)? Do I just leave it packaged as is and just insert my boutique business card/thank you insert? Do I repackage? I will be showcasing a lot of different brands and don't want to false advertise that they are my creations, but I also don't know how to brand my boutique when sending the item to customers! Hope that makes sense!

Well how I know whole sale. Theirs different ways vendors work. Some do private labeling other may only do their brand on it, etc.

I believe that if you bought the item for retail, then it is officially yours. It’s like saying you buy a book bag and you’re not allowed to monogram your name on it, because it’s yours, but everyone’s opinion is different

Burberry is trademarked 🙄 If it's not trademarked/patented, then you are legally able to do so. Most vendors in LA allow private labeling. Branding is so so important and it looks much more professional business wise vs having a boutique with lots of other people's labels. Fashion nova manufactures their own clothing but they ALSO private label. We shop from the same store 🤣

Margins is pretty much the difference of the cost of goods and how much you are selling it for. It’s the profit you make. For example you buy a shirt for $7 and sell it for $24. Your margin is $17
