Just got mine in the mail today. Damn, Lon- your work is exquisite! This is my first LH knife. I went with curly maple, as I don't have any wood handled knives, and after watching your video on how you stabilize soft woods, I appreciate it even more. It's a beauty! Oh, and kudos to the fine folks who make the sheaths for your knives. It's also a beauty!

I just bought one of these Lon Humphrey Monitor knives . Just a great knife and design I love it , Great Field knife but also a great EDC self defense knife with a blade over 5 inches and great handle ergonomics makes this handmade knife perfect in size . Forget the wimpy Benchmade nimravus or other knives get this dual duty knife instead . Great knife for field use cleaning fish and game making a fire wood work and self defense excellent design , Lon Humphrey you are a great knife maker of great knives I love my my Monitor knife . Get one while you can what is left and available in any handle choice highly recommended.

That is how a guard should be with the scale material following the guard. When knife makers just use the blade material for the guard it is painful on the finger. This way is the best. And what a cracking knife! Thanks for showing!

Love this design and all your other knives too. I have confidence in your knife handling and knife making skills. That being said I was think while you were chopping that iron wood "hope he does not chop off a finger as then he may not be able to keep making those awesome knives. You being a true professional I know I need not worry but I think I should buy a few more of your knives to ad to my collection while the getting is still good. Thanks for all the hard work you do to designing and forging your creations of sharp artistic craftsmanship.

Hey Lon I bought a monitor from you the day they became available on knives ship free. A piece of my handle broke off at the top where it gets thin at the finger guard. Do you warranty your handles? It looks like it just fractured and came off while I was wearing it.
