Nice. Is there a way to globally monitor for any form changes?
@SteveGriffith-Prof3ssorSt3v32 жыл бұрын
Do you mean in the dev tools? You can add input events on any form element.

How can we open drop-down in both upward and downward direction depending on scrolling height?

It is up to the browser where the element is placed when you open the list element.

Great video, congrats! Didn't know about `monitorEvents()` lol. Is it a Chrome only thing or does it work on, say, Firefox? Also, if I'm not mistaken, it's possible to do something similar on the Debug tab (log to the console every xyz event); but I'm not sure if you can select certain elements - I believe it logs events of the whole page (of the specific defined event-type).

In the Sources tab in Chrome and in the Debugger Tab in Firefox there is a section where you can create breakpoints for existing events. This means that if, in my script, I have a function connected to an event then it will insert a breakpoint to pause my script when that function is called. There is a list of all the possible events in the browser in these tabs for you to turn on and off.

Steve, it is great video tutorial. But no offense, when you speak it seems like you are taking to yourself not to the audience. So please change your speech style for your video tutorials, that way we will get more sound. Also, please make your video tutorials for 720p, unfortunately for high resolution you only have 1080p. Thanks a lot.
