Awesome video that deserves more views. It's weird to me how hard it is to find info on input/display latency, so I'm glad to see someone cover it so thoroughly.

Hmm, I want more. Could you test a set of monitors, and some TVs too. Would be intrested in them.

Electricity and light are both examples of electromagnetism, the speed will depend on the medium it travels through. While I'm being pedantic, the sensor in the LDAT looks like a photodiode. Photodiodes respond faster than LDRs, but usually require more circuitry. That said, I'm a big fan of your monitor reviews and look forward to seeing where you go to from here.

Thank you for the clarification! That makes a lot of sense, the sensor LDAT uses looks a bit more like a CMOS sensor than an LDR. Thanks!

@@TechteamGB I'm fairly certain it's the SMD version of the BPW34 photo-diode.

Do you still have the LDAT? If so could you PLEASE test and make a video testing input lag with Cloning vs passthrough on a capture card? So many rumors of cloning causing input lag, etc but ZERO hard evidence and only speculations. Would be greatly appreciated by many to know I'm sure!

It's funny how little actual testing people do with LDATs

Sorry for ruining the 69 likes, but this was a nice video :) Liked. Wish i had a LDAT.
